Rams teams

Canterbury Rams

WMC proudly serves as the principal sponsor of the Rams since their re-entry into the New Zealand NBL. WMC Managing Director Nick Wheeler expressed enthusiasm in renewing the naming rights after consecutive successful seasons, underlining the shared values between WMC and the Rams. WMC literally powers the Rams by providing vehicles for essential community engagements, such as coaching and school visits.

Mainland Pouakai

WMC is the proud supplier of Mainland Pouakai’s vehicle fleet since the franchise’s inception in the woman’s National league.

Caleb Harrison, Canterbury Rams General Manager

“We thank Nick Wheeler and Wheeler Motor Company for their continued support of the Canterbury Rams and wider organisation. WMC were one of the original supporters who backed us when the franchise was revived post-earthquakes in 2014. This long-term support has given us stability and certainty.”

Special Children’s Christmas Party

Wheeler Motor Company is a proud ongoing supporter of ‘Special Children’s Events’, who host spectacular Christmas and extravaganza parties for special children who live with life threatening illness, physical or intellectual impairment, domestic violence, or in underprivileged circumstances.

Their Story

In 1998, Kiwi kids got to experience the very first Special Children’s Christmas Parties in New Zealand.

Now, every year in New Zealand, nearly 10,000 Kiwi children with special needs, challenging life or health circumstances are invited to a party like no other.

“These kids live with ill-health, disability, challenging home circumstances 24/7. They can’t switch it on and off when they want.  Regardless of their situation, kids are kids. They want to go out and have fun. To be kids. Our parties make a huge difference. It’s the small things that make a difference to these children.”

- Mark Wikstrom, NZ Event Manager,  Special Children’s Christmas Parties.
