On the plus side, Wheelers seem to take care that they offer nice quality vehicles to the public. They were willing to have a vehicle checked by the AA, and promised to fix whatever was needed. They also kindly drove the vehicle to a second check which I arranged privately, though I sensed some discomfort about doing this. As a result of that they fitted a new engine air filter. Furthermore, even though they offered towbar installation for a fee, they took the vehicle to a provider nearby which I arranged myself more economically. Kudos for all that.
On the minus side, a question I asked about a spare wheel by email (not provided by Subaru for those vehicles) wasn't answered until I asked again. And the promise to replace the long out of date car tyre sealant wasn't honored.
My advice to buyers is to cross all your t's, make sure everything gets checked off properly. Make sure you know exactly what you're signing for when you make an agreement, ie under what circumstances you can back out of a deal if problems arise with the vehicle. Car dealers want to sell you a car and move on asap (and that's not meant as a complaint).
